Yes we’re breaking the record!
GirlGuiding NZ is helping to raise awareness of breast cancer.
The Dargaville Guides originally struggled with the idea on how they were going to achieve this. While flipping through the kids Guinness World Record book their leader Robyn, came across the record for the longest bra chain. What a fantastic way for GirlGuiding NZ to contribute. Imagine if a small unit from Dargaville managed to break this record which is currently held by Australia at 166,000 bras and took them three years to achieve.
The Dargaville Guides have set a goal of 200,000 bras by November 2010 – and we need your bras!
After GirlGuiding NZ has smashed this world record all bras in good condition will be sent to countries in need like Africa or Pacific Islands.
Whether you have 1 bra or 100 it doesn't matter because it all helps!
Drop your bras (condition doesn’t matter), to the physical (not postal) addresses below or call 0800 22 22 92 to arrange an alternative pick up or drop off point.
