Week 5, 2nd March 2010

This evening we continued with our Corks theme by making cork place mats. The girls had to bring along a special photo to stick on their place mat.

The cork place mats are simply cork flooring tiles cut up into 4. I got one pack of 9 cork tiles from a hardware store and then had them cut up smaller. The girls then stuck their photos on with PVA glue and we will be varnishing the tiles for safe keeping.

Next up was learning how to play darts! We had two different dart boards - one magnetic and one with suction cups. The magnetic dart board was much easier to use so the girls had turns at each dart board. The girls had to gain 100 points to win - that was a hard target to achieve.

Girls received their allocation of Girl Guide biscuits this week at Brownies.

We then went outside and played Stuck in The Mud, Octopus and had a play on the playground to end the evening.
